Speculative brand identity system for an education technology startup.

Brand Identity

01 · Challenge

K–8 tech education was built on one sentence: every child should learn to code. AI rewrote it. Tynker still sells Python. codeSpark sells pre-reader coding. AI literacy brands teach kids to prompt better: wrong skill, wrong moment. A new parent has emerged, thoughtful, anxious but not paralyzed, asking a question the category hasn't answered. Build her brand, and her child's.

02 · Approach

Coding was yesterday's literacy; judgment, checking answers, pushing back, knowing what you know, is today's. Hook is the first K–8 brand built for that shift. Its voice refuses "fun," "engaging," "empower." Its visual system trades primary-color cartoons for publishing-house restraint: space, quiet typography, one signal red. Color maps to Hook's three pedagogical houses. The mark reads as a terminal prompt.
