Running design sprints to make it easier to donate and volunteer.
Background Information:
Glide is a non-profit organization working out of the Tenderloin district in San Francisco with a mission to fighting system injustices and creating pathways out of poverty. The organization needed to both update is brand foundations and improve accessibility to its donation and volunteer programs.
My Role:
Strategist, Designer, Facilitator
I led the Glide Stakeholders through multiple design sprints to improve the donation and volunteer experiences on their website, I led the workshops, and created the design prototypes for this process. I also led my team and stakeholders through a brand strategy workshop to adjust the mission and vision statements for the organization.
Services:
Design Sprints, UX Design, and Brand Strategy
The mission:
Donations and volunteering are the main lifelines for almost any non-profit organization. While Glide felt they were in a good place with both, they wanted to explore ways to improve upon what they already built by redesigning specific moments of the web experience rather than redesigning the entire website. The organizations stakeholders also wanted to update their branded content to coincide with a push to increase donations and volunteer support.
Impact:
Glide stakeholders reported back to my team and I stating that they started to see less of a drop off in the donations user flow and an overall increase in donation and volunteer engagement.
